A word from your pastor...
Brothers and Sisters – Greetings! Here we are at the end of August… my how the time has flown by! I hope each of you had a great summer. The days are beginning to cool down – it has been lovely to be greeted the past two mornings to wonderful temperatures in which to sit outside and drink a cup of coffee – and the sun is setting a little bit earlier than it was even a month ago. All of this can only mean one thing: Autumn is almost here!
And at Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church that means Fall Kick Off is upon us! Please plan on joining us this Sunday, September 3, for worship at 9:30… it will be delightful having both our choir and our praise team participating in our worship service. It was important to give them a much needed rest, but it's going to be wonderful having them back in action. The worship service this Sunday will be fantastic... don't miss it!
Immediately after our worship service we’ll have our annual Fall Kick Off Ministry Fair and Open House. As we did last year, we’ll begin in the Sanctuary for a few moments but then you will be released to make your way around campus to explore the new ministry programs, studies, classes, and opportunities that are available this Fall. There really is something for everybody!
I’m eager to spill the beans because there is SO MUCH exciting stuff going on… but I’ll try to keep my lips sealed until Sunday…
As a reminder: beginning THIS Sunday we’re doing a food drive for TEAM during the month of September. We’d like to start the drive with a major push, so please consider bringing a number of needed goods with you to church this week.
