Operation Christmas Child

Samaritan's Purse Update from Franklin Graham

"Every gift-filled shoebox is a toll for evangelism and discipleship for a local church around the world. At Operation Christmas Child outreach events, boys and girls hear the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ and receive a tangible expression of God's love through one of your prayerfully packed shoeboxes.

I'd encourage you to include a letter and a photo along with your gift as these often become cherished items for the child. One of our ministry partners in Liberia who is also a dean at a Bible college said that some of her students still have the letters they received in their shoeboxes years ago.

Pray - ask God to supply enough Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts to bless millions of hurting children and their families around the world. Pray for our international church partners as they use these gifts to share the Gospel."

Our MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) group is once again leading our Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Shoebox drive. Stop by the OCC Christmas Tree in the Narthex, pick up a box (or two or three), and a list of gift suggestions. Please return filled shoeboxes with $9 (if by check, made out to SCPC) for postage no later than Sunday, November 14th. MOPS moms will deliver the filled boxes to the drop off location the following day.

Would you like others to pack a box for you? Consider Building a Shoebox Online at SCPC's Build a Shoebox goal page! With just a few clicks, you can pack an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift online. Simply select toys and other fun items you'd like to include from their collection, and personalize your gift with your own letter and photo. They will pack the gift for you and send it on its way for a suggested donation of just $25. Help us reach our goal of 20 online boxes!

For additional information contact our MOPS coordinators.
