Summer RYM Conference

It is time to put in your deposits for the RYM Summer Conference trips.   I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing opportunity this trip affords. I have been going to RYM trips since 1998.  I have gone as a counselor and this past year served by teaching one of the many morning classes that are offered for our students. If you or your student went last year you know what a wonderful opportunity these conferences are.  If you or your student have never been then please take time to talk with me, look at the website and sign up to go.  We will need your deposit of 100.00 dollars per student by January 27th in order to reserve a spot for you.  This conference fills up quickly so please don’t wait if you are planning to go.  We never want to see anyone who is willing and able to go but lacks the financial resources to be left out.  We have partial and full scholarships available if needed.  Please let us know if your student is planning on attending.

The Junior High Trip will consist of rising 7th-9th grade students.
The Senior High Trip will consist of rising 10th- graduated seniors.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Pastor Dennis

"Teach Me Your Way"

This study encourages us as students to surrender to Jesus in salvation and submit our minds, hearts, and wills to His way in obedience. The lessons will explore our human tendency to worship the creation rather than the Creator, and as a result, pursue the temporal benefits of the world over the eternal value of knowing Christ.

"Gospel Centered Life"

The Gospel-Centered Life is a study intended to help us as students understand how the gospel shapes every aspect of life.   We will be looking at a variety of Scripture and articles to help us in our understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in seeing that Gospel Grace pressed deeply into our hearts, minds and lives.

Wednesday Night  for all Youth (6:30p)
Location:  Youth Building
"The Psalms: Songs from the Heart"

The Psalms may not seem like a super exciting thing to look at if you’re 14 years old.  However, many of the Psalms were written by a guy who wrestled lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!  David killed a giant while he was still a teen and was chased around the countryside by a man whom he had helped out both artistically and militarily.  The Psalms resonate with beauty and go right to the heart exactly the way poetry and music are supposed to.  We listen to so many poets and jingle writers from our culture, it is always good and helpful to listen to those that remind us that life is not summed up by what you wear, what you drink, who likes you, what your GPA is and whether you are good at sports.  Come join us on Wednesday nights as we catch a glimpse of glory and power, wisdom and truth, love and goodness, sorrow and joy, longing and hope, all wrapped in the language of the heart.
