High School Students to Mississippi-  Our High school students will head to Bay St. Louis, Mississippi from July 21-26, for the Mercy in Missions Conference with Reformed Youth Ministries (RYM).  During this week they will be working on rebuilding houses in Bay St. Louis that were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.  RYM has partnered with Lagniappe Presbyterian, who will host us during this week of work.  Lagniappe hosts workers around the clock, 365 days a year in their effort to contribute to the rebuilding of the gulf coast.  To read more about the conference and the work that Lagniappe PCA is doing, check out these websites:

Middle School Students to Inner-City Houston-   Our middle school students spent a week in inner-city Houston with Center for Student Missions (CSM).  Homeless shelters, food banks, daycare for homeless children, elder care and soup kitchens were all part of the experience.  Our students labored throughout the week, serving Jesus as they served others.

Men to New Orleans-  The men of our church went to New Orleans in March to assist families affected by Hurricane Katrina.  They worked with Redeemer Presbyterian Church and stayed at Redeemer House.

Pictures of the men and their work can be seen here

Zambia, Africa-  Judi and Angela Daugherty traveled to Africa in June.  They went to the nation of Zambia with Family Legacy Missions International to minister to orphans there.  With over ten million people, Zambia has the highest per capita orphan rate in the world; over one million.  The country has one of the worst poverty indexes in the world as a result of the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

How great that God can work through us to help and to minister to others!
