HOLY WEEK EVENTS
Make plans to attend the following special events!
Palm Sunday (Sunday, March 28th)
Services at 9:00a and 11:15a with Sunday School at 10:10am.
Family Life (Wednesday, March 31st)
Normal Family Life Activities Passover/Seder Celebration (Maundy Thursday, April 1st) 7:00p
We will take a unique look at the lords supper by celebrating the Passover meal. The shadows and mystery of the Old Testament come alive in the light of Christ's sacrifice which will give the worshipper a new perspective on Calvary through the lens of fulfilled Old Testament prophecy. Our Praise Team will lead us in worship. The Seder will be lead by pastors Dave and Dennis and Randy Bachman.
Good Friday (Friday, April 2nd) 7:00p
This moving “Tenebrae” service will include music by our choir and scripture that reminds us of the arrest, betrayal, and crucifixion of our Lord. The use of candles will remind us of the “light” in the midst of darkness that came over the world on that Good Friday.
Egg-stravaganza (Saturday, April 3rd) 2:00p
Calling all kids to our annual Easter Egg Hunt! Pastor Dave will talk to us about the true meaning of Easter and then we will have a huge Easter egg hunt!!!
Easter Sunday (Sunday, April 4th)
He is risen! Join us for a joyous and traditional celebration of Easter at either 9:00a or 11:15a.
Immanuel Brass Quintet is joining us for a second year. This ensemble greatly enhances our Easter worship, and you will not want to miss it! Consider bringing family and friends. The Immanuel Brass Quintet will play during the 11:15 service ONLY!
Flowering the Cross (Sunday, April 4th)
Each Easter we flower a cross with live flowers that you bring from home. The flowered cross represents the beauty of our Savior’s sacrificial gift and the new life we have received through His death and resurrection. As you enter the sanctuary, you will have the opportunity to place your flowers on the cross. Don’t forget to bring your camera! After the service, this beautiful cross makes wonderful and meaningful backdrop for your Easter photos.
Light Brunch (Sunday, April 4th) 10:10am
Come fellowship and enjoy coffee, juice and danishes in the narthex and courtyard between services. There will be no Sunday School on this Sunday.
Easter Lilies
A traditional part of the Easter celebration at Spring Cypress is our Easter Lily program. For $10 you can buy a beautiful lily that will adorn the sanctuary until you take the plant home after the Easter service. Place a check in the plate for $10 and write “lilies” on the memo line to secure your lily.
Congratulations to John Carleton,

GROUNDS BEAUTIFICATION
You may have noticed the improvements to our grounds. What began as a project to eliminate our drainage problems in our courtyard areas has turned into a larger project. The sidewalks had buckled causing a serious injury and other concerns emerged. We expect the work to be completed over the next two weeks. The renovations to our interior courtyards include: new sidewalk, new fencing, new plantings, new grass, new fence staining, new drainage and pumps, new gutters, and new lighting. Private funding has been provided for these improvements. We are thankful to the Lord for the ability to maintain and beautify our grounds.
