Open Position - Director of Children's Ministries
Children’s Director, Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church. Seeking a candidate to direct the Children’s ministry of a Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Spring Texas (25 miles north of Houston). The church has a membership of 350 people. The current Children’s Director is retiring after 10 years of service. The ministry includes the oversight of Nursery and Elementary age children (0-12 years) in VBS, Wednesday Evening programming, and Sunday School. A strong and supportive Children’s Council is in place along committed families to assist the Director, who reports to the Senior Pastor. The suburban church is seeking to minister to mothers of pre-schoolers by starting a Mother’s Day Out program. Requirements are 5 years of teaching or being on staff in Children’s Ministry, a college degree, a love for Christ, supportive of infant baptism, knowledge and willingness in teaching children the catechism, and an ability to minister to young mothers.
